Inspiring moments of feminism from awards season
The award season is over and while we celebrate the best in film making, we've also noticed more than one actress taking a moment to call the industry out on sexism, and celebrate the best of their fellow females. Patricia Arquette just joined the ranks with her amazing speech at the Oscars 2015.

Emily Blunt was awarded best actress in an action movie for The Edge Of Tomorrow and said something we couldn't help but agree with.
She described it as 'the greatest thing ever to not be a damsel in distress in an action movie. So cool! I will forever be so grateful for the title "full-metal b*tch"!'

Jessica Chastain was given the inaugural 'MVP Award' and took a moment to encourage more serious thought from her fellow artists.
She explained that she was reminded of the 'need to build the strength of diversity in our industry and to stand against homophobic, sexist, misogynistic, anti-Semitic and racist agendas.
'Martin Luther King Jr said, "our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter," and I would like to encourage everyone in this room to please speak up.'

Tina and Amy's presenting gig was full of witty, feminist bits - we picked out two favourites.
Amy said, 'Patricia Arquette is here, so wonderful. So, so wonderful in the film Boyhood. Boyhood proves there are still great roles for women over 40, as long as you get hired when you're under 40.'
Tina also quipped, 'Steve Carell's Foxcatcher look took two hours to put on, including his hairstyling and make up. Just for comparison, it took me three hours today to prepare for my role as "human woman".'
