Clare Balding: January

'The main thing is I walk like crazy. I walk the dog every day for an hour in the morning and 40 minutes in the evening. I walk at 4mph, which is pretty quick.' Clare told us on set for the January issue, when asked about her fitness routine. We'll be taking a leaf out of her book come January 2015!

Fern Britton: February

We were in awe of Fern Britton for our February cover shoot. The TV presenter and author spoke of her love of cycling and charity cycles for the Genesis Research Trust. 'I have become almost fearless. When I started these rides to give something back, I didn’t realise they were going to give me so much, too.'

Actress Tamzin made us feel comfortable in our skin when she spoke about ever having work done to her face, ‘It all moves! I would like something at some stage. I like the idea of looking a little bit better. But if I grow older like my mum, I’ll be happy. She’s never touched her face. She has laughter lines but looks lovely.’

Our radient September cover star was none other than the legendary Jerry Hall, who also proved family life is just as important. 'I am a very down to earth and I like to be a hands-on, regular mum – cooking meals and sitting down together. It can be tempting to go out a lot, but I think you have to stay at home with the kids. And also, it’s fun!'

Tess Daly: October

The Strictly Come Dancing presenter fronted our October cover - looking as gorgeous as ever! - and spoke of being comfortable in her own skin on the show, ‘What’s important to me is life, love and happiness – the rest is water off a duck’s back. I have spent my entire life being told I’m too thin, too fat, too whatever. So really, I’m over it now. I can do what I want. It matters to me less and less as I get older.’

In November, cover star Kirstie Allsop spoke about meeting the right person and IVF treatment. ‘I didn’t meet the right person until I was 32. I know that lots of people don’t meet the right person and lots of women are panicked and unhappy and sad about this. IVF is a wonderful medical innovation that helps couples suffering from infertility.’ We salute her for her honesty.
