Stacey Solomon is known for her impressive DIY projects and seasonal doorways displays. As we progress into September with the turn of the season, Stacey was ready with her annual autumn installation - but this year, there was a twist. While Stacey always decorates the entrance to Pickle Cottage (the nickname for her family home), this time around she's used only real pumpkins to create the display.
With Stacey getting increasingly green-fingered in the garden recently, it's no surprise she wanted to show off some of her latest crops. Sharing a video tour to her Instagram account, Stacey revealed a leafy archway over the door hung with small pumpkins, while medium and large ones were dotted around potted flowers either side of the walkway.
'Anyone who knows me knows this is peak happiness for me,' wrote Stacey in a caption alongside the video. 'My first ever 100% natural front door display 🥲 Anyone who says “it’s too earlyyyyy 🙄“ Sorry Wilma I can’t control nature 😂🧡 And I can’t keep cable tying my pumpkins back on 😂 also it’s never too early for pumpkins in my opinion!'

In previous years, Stacey's displays have included a mix of natural and faux decorations including Autumn wreaths, painted pumpkins, gnomes and pampas grass.
Wanting to create some Autumnal joy around your front door? Try hanging a tasteful wreath or woven pumpkins around your step. There are also plenty of indoor decorations which can add some Autumnal warmth to your home without making it feeling like Halloween ahead of time.
Look for natural materials such as pinecones and rattan, and neutral tones as opposed to bright orange, black or purple, which risk making displays feel garish and novelty. Then, as Halloween arrives next month, you can swap in some spooky pieces to quickly transform your existing displays.
