Ingredients
25g
butter, softened

slices white sourdough bread
4Tbsp.
Thousand Island dressing
100g
sauerkraut, we used Vadasz
150g
pickled cucumber slices, we used Mrs Elswood
150g
leftover turkey, shredded
150g
leftover ham, shredded
100g
hard rind cheese, e.g. Gruyère, rind removed, sliced
2tsp.
olive oil
Directions
1. Butter the bread slices. Flip 2 slices butter-side down and spread over the Thousand Island dressing. Top these 2 slices with the sauerkraut, pickled cucumber, turkey, ham and cheese slices. Season and lay on the remaining bread slices, butter-side up.
2. Heat oil in a large frying pan over medium-high heat. Fry the sandwiches for 5min per side, pressing down on them occasionally, or until golden. Serve immediately with a crisp green salad.
