14 Underrated BJ's Home Items That Are Worth the Buy

There's a lot to love about BJ's, if you ask me. While you might be familiar with the impressive savings on bulk items, there's another area where the retailer shines: home products. From discounted outdoor furniture to storage solutions and mattresses, BJ's truly is a one-stop shop.
The retailer's inventory is pretty vast, so it might be hard to determine what's really worth buying. Since I've been shopping at various BJ's locations in New York and New Jersey for years and enjoy browsing online, I decided to round up home products you should consider buying at BJ's. For instance, there are the Berkeley Jensen trash bags that regularly show up on my shopping list. There's the hybrid Serta mattress, which landed on the Good Housekeeping Institute's list of the best mattresses. And you'll be delighted by the elegant porcelain dinner plates, as well as the Rubbermaid Brilliance food storage containers that received a Good Housekeeping Kitchen Gear Awards.
There are currently more than 210 BJ's locations in 17 states, but you can also shop online as long as you have a BJ's membership (sign up for one if you're not a member yet). You just might become a regular customer like me!
I know, I know. This isn't the most exciting pick on the list, but it's a household essential you just can't overlook. It's never fun to run out of garbage bags, and I always stock up on this box of 33-gallon bags from Berkley Jensen, the retailer's exclusive brand. They're easy to tie and very strong (I have yet to experience any leaks).
It's always a good idea to have transparent storage bins on hand to store out-of-season clothing, extra blankets, or even kids' toys. I prefer sturdy designs like this two-pack, which has latches to keep items secure.
Perfect for minimalists, these elegant porcelain dinner plates feature a lip (a raised edge) to prevent any food from sliding off. They're 10.5", which is ideal for everyday meals. According to the brand, the eight-piece set is safe to use in the dishwasher and microwave, too. Here's feedback from one happy customer: "They are large, sturdy, and do well in the dishwasher. What's more, the retailer says the powder-coated steel and aluminum frames are designed to hold up well in harsh weather. I'd use this set to enjoy my morning cup of coffee or tea.
With these 36-foot LED string lights, you can keep the party going long after the sun goes down. They feature 20 shatter-resistant bulbs, and you'll get two replacements just in case. While the set can be used solo, it's equipped to connect up to 60 string lights.

I purchased this foldable table for a barbecue a few years ago, and it hasn't let me down yet. It's foldable and features handles that make it easy to carry. I like to dress it up with a patterned tablecloth to serve food buffet-style.
