• 9-1-1 season 9 is set to premiere on ABC beginning Thursday, October 9, 2025.
  • Actress Jennifer Love Hewitt brought her husband Brian Hallisay for a rare date night out ahead of the season premiere.
  • The couple last appeared together for the 2024 Lifetime movie The Holiday Junkie.

Jennifer Love Hewitt just made a work event a rare date night with the man she loves most.

Fans of the 9-1-1 star may remember she's been married to actor Brian Hallisay since November 2013. The two not only like to star in acting projects together (folks may recognize Brian for his portrayal of Doug Kendall on the ABC drama), they're also adamant about raising their daughter Autumn and sons Atticus and Aidan away from the cameras.

Even though Jennifer and Brian are primarily a private couple, they decided to have a parents' moment out for ABC's End of Summer Soirée in Los Angeles on September 5. As they looked incredible while posing for the cameras in matching all-black ensembles, it was 9-1-1's social team who made sure they let everyone know of the rare sighting from the married duo.

"9-1-1’s night out ✌️," the caption read alongside the photo of the couple on Instagram.

When fans realized that Jennifer brought along her husband to one of her work events, they immediately couldn't get over how incredible they both looked on the red carpet.

"[You] guys look amazing," one person wrote in the comments. "Jennifer Love Hewitt and her husband look really good together!!!! Love that!! ❤️," another exclaimed. "Jennifer and hubby make a gorgeous couple!!! ❤️👏," a different follower agreed.

Now, the last time folks got to see Jennifer and Brian together on screen was when they starred in the 2024 Lifetime movie The Holiday Junkie. But Jennifer does sometimes share private family moments with her Instagram followers. She particularly got sentimental about Brian's place in her family's life when she posted an emotional Instagram post to celebrate Father's Day back in June.

"Brian Hallisay you are the best one," she wrote at the time. "The way you love our kids is everything. The way you get misty eyes when proud of them. Protective when someone makes them sad. Calm when they are hurt and then misty eyes again when they are okay and better. The way you show up for them will be the greatest gift they receive. They are so excited to spoil you today and I’m so happy to watch you be celebrated. I love you with all I’ve got. Happy Fathers Day! 🧡."

So, does this mean we'll get to see Jennifer and Brian on TV again? We can only hope!
