While an old college tee and sweatpants work for bedtime, there's something undeniably luxurious about slipping into a matching PJ set. I used to stick to random tees and bottoms, but after recently testing six sets, my T-shirt stash has taken a backseat.
At the Good Housekeeping Institute Textiles, Paper & Apparel Lab, we test all kinds of pajamas. To create our guide to the best pajamas for women, we evaluated over 50 styles, gathering feedback on comfort, fit and durability from consumer testers. Our team, including myself, also assessed some of the most popular sets to see how they held up after multiple washes.
Elizabeth Berry (she/her) is the Updates Editor at the Good Housekeeping Institute where she optimizes lifestyle content across verticals. She holds undergraduate degrees in apparel merchandising and product development and advertising and marketing communications, as well as a master of science degree in consumer sciences from The Ohio State University. Prior to joining Good Housekeeping in 2022, Amanda was a lecturer for the fashion and retail studies program at Ohio State, where she taught fashion and textiles courses.
